Come meet the women of WaWa

Posted on April 21, 2011

We are so excited that this summer the WaWa Project will have its first 3 interns. The three women are students from Boston University and Colby College, covering a wide range of disciplines. We are so incredibly excited to roll up our sleeves and enter the next phase of our project!

In addition to having interns this summer, we are also going to be hosting a meet and greet in May for anyone and everyone who is interested to come and meet the founders, give us suggestions about what can be done better, hear about the amazing things we are going to do through this project, and give me pointers about going to Ghana in May!

We hope that you can all come to our meet and greet and spread the word about the event. Details will be posted here soon and we will make sure to post on our facebook page as well: www.facebook.com/pages/The-WaWa-Project/104670659602490

Separately, I mentioned a few days ago that I am working with Susan Murcott from MIT, when I go to Ghana in May. Here is a little more information about her and her project.

The WaWa Project is dependent on the generosity of individuals who believe that we can make a difference in Ghana. Your financial contributions will help us build the WaWa Secondary School campus, provide tuition for the students, create jobs for local teachers and ultimately, empower a generation of disadvantaged children.
